I'm sure there's many other successful Christian women out there, that may have the same problem, and I'd just love to have prayers and support for beating this. I pray about it several times a day, I'm not incapacitated by this, its not to the point of rendering me unable of activities etc., but it is a daily struggle to not overindulge. It just was a sneaky thing the enemy brought upon me. I try daily to fight the good fight, to remember I can do anything in Jesus's name, that I'm a child of the Most High God, and that with the Lord for me, what can come againist me, but I need support here on the earth too. I'm hoping to find that here, and any suggestions, or just to know I'm not alone in this situation. Thanks so much, love this site, and I know God brought me here today. Jill

Jill, you will be in my prayers. May I suggest that during the times you have the urge to overindulge, to quickly reach for your Bible and read Phillipians 4:13. May God bless you!
Heavenly Father, this sister in Christ has a need that only You can fill. I ask that you give her strength each day to overcome the enemy's lies. Fill her with your love and peace. In Jesus Christ's name, Amen.
I'm praying for you. We all have things in our lives that we struggle with, but few of us will admit them to others and reach out for help. You are already taking that first step. I'll keep praying for you asking that God's strength through your faith will pull you through and strengthen you so you won't return to the alcohol. I pray that you will be delivered from this struggle that has a hold on you.
I just wanted to let you know that I have been praying for you. Jen has given me premission to refer you to her blog: http://stayathomemotherdom.clubmom.com/. Keeping you in my prayers.

I know sometimes things get hard, especially when we need to turn away from things like alcohol or drugs, ect. but I know you can do it through God. Sometimes in life we may slip up but God will never let us fall. Focus on Jesus when temptation is there, pray, read the bible, do whatever you need to do to keep your mind on Jesus and He will be with you always. I know you can beat this because Jesus loves you and He is on your side...all you gotta do is trust Him and believe He can help you through this. May God bless you and comfort you Links to this post: << Home
