About Us
Our Mission…
The purpose of Christian Women Online Magazine is to unite women of faith, regardless of our differing ages, our roles as women, or the signs that mark our church doors. We believe that one of the best ways to do this is to encourage each other in faith, by our spoken and written words. It is our hope that as we unite women in Christ, the young will glean wisdom from the old, one will gain strength from another, and together we’ll shed light to the world.
Neither pray I for these alone, but for them also which shall believe on me through their word; that they all may be one; as thou, Father, art in me, and I in thee, that they also may be one in us: that the world may believe that thou hast sent me.” ~ John 17:20-21

Candace Cameron Bure ~ Columnist
Many of us will remember Candace Cameron Bure from ABC’s hit television series, Full House, where we affectionately knew her as “D.J. Tanner.” With an acting career that started at the age of five, Candace appeared in commercials, prime-time hits, and critically acclaimed television movies, working with actors such as Sally Field and Tom Hanks.
After Candace married NHL star Valeri Bure, she put her career on ice for a while in order to stay home and raise a full house of her own. Happily married for over 10 years, this mother of three is playing a new role—one she wouldn’t trade for the world.
Devoted to her husband and children, she is a role model to young women everywhere. Candace’s testimony is one of growing up in Hollywood, while growing in faith with God. Her passions include family, faith, and story time with her adorable audience of three.
The heart that Candace has for people is reflected in her everyday life as well as through her involvement in charities such as the Make a Wish and Starlight Foundations. With charisma that lights up a room, Candace shines light on hope, and reminds us that the role of wife and motherhood is one to be desired.
She is a speaker for various churches, colleges and outreach events, as well as a monthly columnist here at Christian Women Online Magazine, with her monthly column, “Candid Candace, The Q’s & A’s on Growing with God.”

She is currently a part time office assistant, which allows her to spend time with the boys when they are out of school. Melissa Michaels ~ Columnist
Melissa Michaels is a wife (going on 21 years now) and mom of three. She is also an interior design addict and owner of The Inspired Room™, an interior decorating consulting business in Portland, Oregon.
She is interested in creating comfortable, beautiful, and inspired surroundings to live in, rather than practicing traditional interior design, or following trends. For her it is more about the focus. She designs her life first, then she creates the rooms to complement that life, saying that “Life should inspire our home, and our home will inspire our life.”
Creating a sense of authenticity about the ambience in her home is important to Melissa, because it is ambience that in turn supports the life she wants–a cozy, comfortable, curl up with a good book and a crackling fire kind of life.
Melissa has an old 1930’s eclectic English style, 4300 square foot house that they bought “As Is,” which really means, “in need of dire assistance!” With next to no money to spend and three children to care for, they ’ve learned the art of “creative concealment” among other inventive decorating techniques!

Sunny Shell ~ Interviews
Sunny’s been an oddball her entire life! Raised in Alexandria, Virginia in the early 1970’s, she was the only Christian, in an immigrant, Korean-Buddhist household, where she is the youngest of three children.
When she was only four years old, the Lord of hosts, miraculously provided for a bus to pick her up every Sunday to take her to church, where she first heard the Good News of Jesus Christ, so that she might intimately know His agape love for her. And this truly was the best and greatest news she’d ever heard….and it still is!
Sunny is in the process of writing her first Bible Study entitled A Wife’s Biblical Submission which she is currently teaching online and has been a guest contributor for the Internet Café Devotions.

I would love to use some of my writing skills in the online magazine realm. Please read some of my smaller pieces on my blog (above).
Plopped in a peculiar predicament by the Lord, I’ve been drawn back to writing inspirations reflecting the Lord’s relationship in my life. I would enjoy contributing articles or devotionals to your magazine, if this will be a feature of the rebirth of “Christian Women Online.” My blog site is included in the reply. It would be great to hear back from you.
You have some extremely talented columnists. Anne Voskamp is a favorite of mine at “A Holy Experience.”
Look forward to seeing more of your magazine.
