Grass is brown and dry beneath my feet, trees reach bare branches up and out like they, too, are anxiously waiting for garments of new growth. Spring, summer, and fall seem to pass so quickly with their tides of color and change…but winter feels long, lasting. The days look the same and I begin to ache for buds of new life on the bushes that line my house, long dusky evenings, green
