I have been rummaging around deep in my memory bank—about 65years or so— and I am re-living one of my childhood experiences. It occurred on the shores of the Green River or Panther Creek, south of my town. My thoughts, concerning the events of that day have lingered, the geography, not so much!. For the sake of keeping my mind on the memory, rather than its location, I am saying it was Panther Creek.

I took the picture this AM Jan. 12, 2012 and it is raining, snow is due today and deep freeze is expected tonight, the coldest of the winter; it may get into the 20's so I am sure my brave bloomer is in for a shock! The last two years it has had a few blossoms in Oct. and Nov. but this is an outstanding show stopper for my part of the world.
I am in the process of making a plan for the new year. You will notice I did not say I resolve to do this, just heading in that direction; I don't like to disappoint others or myself too often. I actually am being brave by baring my soul like this, so this in its self is a good thing!
