was so please to read of the simplicity of decoration and reminded of the simple manger... as everyone else my holiday budget is next to nothing.. but i still felt pressed to host my annual sister brunch.. which is one of my holiday traditions.. but had no money to work with.... not wanting to give up on the tradition i prayed and pressed forward and looked around the house.. for ideas.. i used butcher paper instead of holiday table clothes.. recycled some holiday wreaths. and candles..by regrouping.. used pine cones from outside.. with scraps of holiday ribbons, all sorts of holiday colors.. red. green . silver gold..
used candy canes..and peppermint candies as table decorations.. kid helped out and made paper snow flakes.. and hung around.. along with the food which was down home cooking.. and the brunch was a great success. for next to nothing.. cept lots of good visits and
sweet memories..
thanks for the great ideas.. keep them comming.. May God Bless you all and your labours of Love... JoAnn
P.S. after brunch everyone left sweet messages on the coffee and hotchocolate stained paper.. which i will cherish.. and not have a extra load of linens to wash.. but a scrap book of sweet memories..
