I finally had to put her in her bassinet and walk away for a few minutes. I was dumbfounded when I came back and saw that she had fallen asleep. Ever since then, she will only fall asleep by herself, refuses to in our arms. That of course is my own experience. Every child is so different. I wonder what my next one will be like. His love for and patience with me is astonishing. I don't have to imagine what this season of motherhood would look like without God in it. But so many moms do. I want to build relationships with non believing moms in hopes that I can one day introduce them to the Lover of their souls. I have little ones who, for some reason, wake up during the night. I don't have the energy to stay up with them so they come into our bed. I feel bad but then I can't just let them throw up in their bed's either...I just can't. I really needed the reminder...Jesus loves all the mommies (mummies)...that includes me.
