I have two boys (11,14), and I know how boys can be and also what a beautiful blessing they are. I loved when you mentioned fighting back negative thoughts when they come at you. I am right where you are when it comes to that. I've realized something along life's journey that holds very true to my heart.
If I am not patient and forgiving with myself, then I cannot be patient and forgiving with others. And if I do not completely love myself, flaws and all, then I cannot completely love others the way God intended me to. When I have bad days, I try to remind myself of that. God bless.

I can totally relate to this story. I have two girls,9&10years of age. They are very active and it seems as if they are very rarely still. Your story gives me hope that it will be alright with God.

I have 3 boys (11, 8. 4), and I could really relate to getting the "crazies"! But I like how you pointed out that our children are not burdens to "get through"; they are our Here and NOW. This was very encouraging to hear tonight and a good kick in the pants for me to make them my first family priority and train them and to stop putting so much nonsense in their place. Thanks!

"...it’s okay to feel nuts once in a while. God loves me anyway."

I love this quote!

I am so encouraged by your thoughts and had fun while at it!
You are a channel of God's love. Thank you very much!

I loved the line :How come you can spell “perpendicular” but you can’t remember to flush?. Understanding that God put everything in my sons (Psalm 139) gives me peace in storms. However, like you point out, you need to find time with God! I enjoyed your "column."
